The life is like a big jig saw puzzle. Only when you have all the pieces, your life mission will be successfully completed. Definitely, it takes time for all the pieces of your life to come together. Sometimes it even seems a total mess where the person has to struggle to discover all the necessary elements. However, never give up and wait patiently till the final puzzle piece. Do not fall for solving that puzzle, but see the life as an adventure to be savored. Eventually, everybody will find all the pieces and make it into a complete picture.
Each human being like a piece in a puzzle has a unique position to occupy. The most difficult task though, is just to find the one that will make you walk on air. There are not actually right or wrong paths. There is only the path that you prefer. Whatever you choose, there will always be many opportunities for you to grow and develop. One should remember that choosing a career is the most significant decision in people’s life. It is not just a single one-time decision but the whole journey of meticulous and profound thinking. Every person must consider a lot of things and take into account all the pros and cons when deciding upon a particular career path. There are not any chances to simply walz into some career and then expect it to be an appropriate one. You will first start with some unskilled labour before finally achieve the results you were longing for. Every career surely has milestones along the way. The person needs to comprehend the chronological steps of every career path. It will greatly assist in making right decisions about how to build experience and work your way through the ranks of chosen occupation.
On my opinion, a career or profession is something that the person must enjoy doing as he will do it the whole life. Everybody should regard this question with great care and do not take any prompt decisions. A year ago, I was completely lost in all these professions and was not even sure what I want to do the rest of my life. Luckily, after thorough reflection I finally made up my mind. The profession I am really interested into pursuing is makeup artist. Now I will try to prove why it is the one you have to go into.
First of all, makeup artistry demands a great amount of creativity, desire to experiment with colours as well as work with different people. The person should have a passion to creating a look, displaying a face to its full potential and not just perceive it as a trade. Creativity and magical power of being able to transform a person’s appearance are two key components any makeup artist can not live without. All the lip glosses, colors of the eye shadows and different hairstyles are their special sort of drug. Using various cosmetic techniques and processes they are capable of creating beauty upon the human body. The important role is also communicating with clients in order to meet their wishes and finalize visual requirements. The skillful makeup artists not only aim at simply finishing the task but try to put all their heart and soul into the process of transforming the human canvas into the desired character or appearance. They also have to enhance clients’ physical features and create a flawless appearance within a determined timeline. However, that job does not only involve helping people look glamorous but actually assists in choosing clients’ perfect look and building their self-esteem. The makeup artist’ task is to make others believe in their originality by magnifying their natural beauty and increasing their self-confidence. Besides, after making people feel good you will probably feel even better. Of course, it can sometimes be really hard to satisfy the demands of certain people, that is why the makeup artist must always stay patient and attempt to find the right method of approach to each client.
Truly speaking, makeup industry is really hard work. Though it may seem very easy at first sight, not just anyone can in reality be good at it. A lot of tedious work and broad imagination is needed, for example, to reveal bride’s natural beauty and intensify it so she looks incredibly stunning in every single wedding photo. This job takes a lot of time, persistent skill improvement and commitment. Every makeup artist should always keep up with fashionable trends and aspire to perfect his craft every possible moment. It is a professional duty to experiment with the products as well testing various skin types and tones clients may have. The makeup artistry industry never stands on the same place. It is perhaps one of the branches that will always experience constant growth, versatile changes and evolution. So, if one wants to be really satisfied with this job and just takes pleasure in simple day's routine, he must not be afraid of testing and listening to his intuition.
This job is also very perspective and well-paid. There are a lot of places where experienced makeup artist can work. Some artists have their own studios to work out, others travel to a site to perform their services. Usually they are hired by private citizens for weddings or any other event. They can even be employed by some politicians to prepare them for important televised debates and speeches. If you think that the job is very boring and monotonous, you are making a great mistake. Most makeup artists have to travel for work at least once in their career path. They travel for different advertising campaigns, beauty shows, fashion shows and photo shoots. It is really fantastic to enjoy the work you are doing and at the same time have a chance to travel to places and cities you’ve always wanted to go. However, the work scope does not definitely end on it. There are a lot of possibilities for well established and professional make-up artists to serve as editors or columnists for beauty and style magazines. Finally, they may work as experts on panels, have their own blogs giving pieces of advice on the make-up industry or even write their own books.
Speaking about the education, makeup artists are required to have at least a high school diploma. Actually, the college degree is not obligatory, but most prefer to get it. The majority of artists obtains bachelors or musters degree in film history, theatrical art or some other field in that area (Devantier, 2014). Any educator will not be able to teach an artist “the basics of creativity”. The best teacher ever is surely the experience you will get on your own. It is not about memorizing difficult mathematics formula and then applying them in practice. This career is based on your imagination, creative thinking and desire to contribute somehow to the fashion business. Use every opportunity in life to learn something new and never give up despite various failures. Remember that the golden rule of attaining success is simple saying “practice makes perfect” (Admin, 2013). The final result is worth all the tedious work and arduous efforts. It is much better to experiment and make mistakes then not to do anything at all. The truth is that every new error you are making not only teaches you some important lesson but also bring closer to the perfectness. The experience an artist has defines what position he will able to obtain. The more experience, the greater perspectives of high and qualified job.
If you desire to pursue this profession, you should profit by every opportunity the life presents you. Do not miss a chance to learn the basics of makeup artistry and get the necessary experience from the inspiring people who occur on your life path. Everyone interested in this profession can start off as a makeup student or assistant. The most import thing is a great aspiration to master the essential knowledge and then put it into practice. The second stage of this career path is transforming into independent makeup artist. Here you must not stop improving your skills and actually have to work even harder in order to create a reputation and make people appraise your professionalism. The person, who believes in himself, will always be fairly appreciated by others (Anthony, 2014). The final stage of this career is reaching the top level as a makeup artist for a larger production. No matter what position the person has obtained in this industry, there would always be chances to gain extra training. It looks like a life-long learning, but the one who is ambitious enough, will finally achieve tremendous results. For example, different makeup seminars about innovative techniques, season looks and application of new products are available for every curious employee. If the person wants to stay new and follow the latest trends, he must find time the career improvement.
Makeup artistry industry is a very popular profession now. There are hundreds of makeup artist schools to choose from throughout the United States and Canada. If you are looking for some big and grandiose city with a lot of opportunities to work, New York makeup school can be just a perfect variant. This is a busy state with huge business and entertainment industries. Most people call New York home because of its enormous opportunities. Surely, there are a lot of chances for makeup artist too. A makeup school in New York will teach you the most necessary knowledge of cosmetics, give chances to practice your skills and meet a lot of inspiring people who will influence you a lot (Field, 2014). It is not even important what kind of makeup you are doing or were you are working as you will surely enjoy the life that are waiting for you in the makeup school.
As for me I have always had a deep love of cosmetics and passion for creating interesting looks for my friends. They often asked me to advise the color of lipstick or eye shadow that would look best on them because trusted my good taste.
At first, I was not very serious about it and considered this hobby fugacious. However, now I became thinking about it more seriously and am very ambitious to master this amazing art. The makeup artistry attracts me because it stimulates my imagination. With all the creative ideas in my head, I had a chance to realize them in real life. My mind produces various schemes and I had just put them in practice.
