Introduction
The initial Four-Level Training Evaluation Model published by Donald Kirkpatrick in the Journal of US Training and Development (T&D) in 1959. Kirkpatrick is a Professor Emeritus at Wisconsin University. The US T&D Journal contains the upgraded versions of this model that took place in 1975 and 1994 with the title of “Evaluating Training Programs”.
The levels of the model comprise of Reaction, Learning, Behavior, and Results and each level performs in a unique way for helping evaluators to evaluate training programs. For instance, reaction assists me (evaluator) to comprehend the influence of training on individuals and reveals significant domains that training lacked; Learning shows the knowledge improvement of employees and enables me to gauge learning of workers after training sessions; Behavior allows me to assess the transition in behaviors of workers after training and particularly their application of information; and lastly results depict the ultimate outcomes of evaluator’s training of workers that subsume the positivity for workers, business, and bottom line.
There is a need for design of analysis in order to minimize the disadvantage of subjective judgment of an evaluator, a differentiated variable that may influence uniformity and dependability of the measurements. Interview and observation over time assist to assess transition, its relevance, and sustainability. Individual show transition at times in varied manner, therefore arbitrary snapshot assessment is not the good option .
Conclusion
The electronic and online analyses are highly complex to involve; assessments show productivity in joined present administration and training protocols. The personal assessment as well paly value addition and is subject to the sensibly designed measurements and standards. It is necessary to locate and settle liability and importance at very onset of the training in order to enable audience to comprehend the theme of the measurements.
