Upon a comprehensive examination, we came up with the following criteria to enable successful allocation of the $34,000 available in the budget for pay raises to the 8 managers. The criterion to be used is as follows.
- All married managers shall receive a pay raise of 2% of their current salaries. (They must be staying with their marriage partners at the moment.
- All those who are not married shall receive a pay raise of 1%.
- Good performance in their area of work shall be awarded an increment of 8%
- All those who head departments that are very demanding shall receive a raise of 6%.
The managers shall therefore receive the following pay raises;

The above pay raises shall have an effect on the productivity of most managers. Managers shall strive to work more so as to earn an increment that is awarded for excellent performance. Berger and hunt will fill humiliated. The organization shall take time to explain to the managers the criteria that was used in making the decisions. This will help fight any enmity that might arise among the managers. The decision will increase the expenses of the organization. It shall therefore work extra hard to ensure that the decision will adversely affect profitability.
The organization needs a policy that will give directions during salary increases. It will entail aspects such as who to be awarded a pay raise, who to be punished for dismal performance and who shall effect the pay raises the pay raises. This will ensure that the system of giving employees pay raises is fair and e3ffe3ctive. The employees will therefore have confidence in the organization thus increasing their productivity.
