Introduction
According to Erik Erikson’s theory, youth is a time of self discovery (Alice and Landale 2011). A young person attempts to seek individual identity which is separate from family. During this period, the youth tend to think in terms of establishing a life philosophy which is free from conflict. This is in contrast to the reality, which is laden with conflict. In this process of self discovery, the youth tend to be rash and ignorant and in a sense consider themselves ‘immortal gods’. This can be illustrated by the carefree attitude they adopt (Hunt et al., 2009).

In my view, God actually exists. I concur with the cosmological argument. The universe must be contingent. Human being has been so much curious to understand his existence and that of the world in general. The fact is that the world came into existence, it is contingent, and certain events and beings are casually contingent. The undoubted cause of these facts is the unmoved mover. There must have been a force behind all these, and this force is none other than the creator. In this ...

Discussion Question Week 7
A cause and effect essay can be defined as a paper that explores what consequences an action or aspect can have on people, life, and the environment in which it occurs. In the case of video games, a cause and effect essay would discuss what video games do to society and how it changes the people who play them. It is often argued that the presence of sex and violence in video games has the effect of desensitizing children to these things, making them less afraid or naïve about them. The concern is that ...

Five Causes for the Public to Not Trust the Government.
The U.S. government has been the subject of countless conspiracy theories, controversies and slanders. For many, their trust in their government has faltered in recent years. Many even discussed the idea that 9/11 was operated by the U.S. government themselves: one site, entitled “911truth.org” even ...

The distribution of income has always been a common theme, one which has caused big schisms in economic thought. The huge economic inequalities that exist between individuals are criticized by those who have more egalitarian views, and cherished by others who claim it is a needed condition for economic growth and advancement (Hawkins, 2004). Whatever effects economic inequality may imply, it is of essence to understand the causes and structure of this issue; what it is correlated with and how it is distributed among the citizens. In Turkey, the preoccupation with inflation and macroeconomic stability which dominated the last ...

These set standards in most cases characterize a system of values that guides the operation of a business in the marketplace as well as within the business. To be more precise, the principle of ethics entails finding out what can be said to be wrong or right and then choosing the right thing. Therefore, in the context of business, ethics is concerned with knowing what is wrong and right at the place ...
Slavery was an important part of American history as it kept the economy of the country in balance. But eventually slavery led to the Civil War between the Northand South. Slavery was not the only reason of the beginning of the war; there were also the social, political, and economical aspects. Slavery began in 1607 and continued until 1865 in America. Many “black” families were destroyed because people were separated from their families and sold. Slaves even didn’t know where and when they came from. As I have already mentioned, slavery was the reason of the development of ...

Self-Actualization and Depression
Self-actualization in an individual who is still in the university cannot follow the Maslow’s hierarchy due to some reasons. As Kriz (2006) observes, Maslow’s hierarchy follows the order of an individual satisfying the basic needs first before reaching self-actualization. Self-actualization to a university student is brought mostly by need to acquire high self-esteem. In such a case, self-actualization is realized when the individual is respected and recognized by his peers. In the event that this does not happen, the student eventually feels depressed. When the feeling to have self-esteem emerges, individuals tend ...

1. Man’s Creation.
a. Preliminary Considerations.
i. The fundamental difference between humans and angels, as Shedd states, is that “God created man male and female.” This implies that man is “incomplete if in isolation from one another.” However, angels are “sexless” which means that although they have been created with “reasonable and immortal souls” like man, they are not man or woman and are therefore, infinitely more complete than man.
