I conducted an interview on the benefits and effects of EHRs in healthcare settings. I determined that the organization uses the CERNER EHR system in almost all its departments. This HIT is common to almost all healthcare organizations. CERNER offers a series of tools and features ideal for meeting federal regulations and daily workflows concerning patient health records. In essence, CERNER encompasses a scheduling dashboard that allows users to view information on appointments and their respective charts (Fairbanks, 2016). In navigating the Practice Fusion EHR website (Practice Fusion, 2012), I found the interface to be very helpful. The site could be easily navigated and the interface was simple enough for users to understand. The interface was also very intuitive, making it easy for users to determine how to perform a certain function or how they can access a particular type of information.
