Introduction The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) is located in London, England and is one of the largest museums of art and design in the world. The museum was founded in 1852 following the huge success of the Great Exhibition of 1851. The museum was founded as the Museum of Manufacturers, reflecting its original purpose of appealing to the working class in order to help educate them.
