Difference between republic and democracy
Republic
A republic can be said to be a government that does not have a monarch. The other definition is that it is a form of government in which the affairs of the state are a matter of the public and the public officers are usually elected and not appointed. Nepal became a federal democratic republic in the first half of the 21st century after 240 years under the monarch.
