We have much to learn from traditional societies
1. Jared Diamond defines traditional societies as small (from a few dozens to a few hundred individuals) societies that do not have centralized state government or even a king and are similar to human societies which existed millions of years ago before development of modern societies.
2. Jared Diamond believes that we can potentially learn from traditional societies everything they do. As an example, he provides two things he learnt from New Guinea people: how to bring up children and how to deal with danger (to be alert to danger and to think clearly about it).
