Introduction
Good mental health is fundamental to an individual, their family and society. In Australia, mental health issues and mental illnesses among adults aged 55 years and above have been one of the greatest causes of diminished productivity, deteriorated quality of lives and disability. People with mental health issues are associated with higher rates of mortality and morbidity. Death of these people arises from a wide range of causes, including suicide.
