Problem statement overview:
This project aims at establishing the causes and how to manage depression and suicide among the college students. The research topic is the nature of depression and suicide among the college students. The potential causes of suicide and depression causes like relationships and aspects of drug abuse are investigated fully. This research topic is of the essence due to the problems of depression and suicide among the students in the colleges.
The literature review entails information of previous reports on the topic of depression and suicide among the college students. Several authors have written about the topic of depression and suicide among the college students and how to manage such cases. College Students suffer from the conditions of depression and suicide due to the situations and activities they engage in their day to day operations, in the colleges. The main because of such cases of depression and suicide is discussed to be drug abuse and the aspects of relationship breakup.
The ethical aspects relating to the study of suicide and depression among college students involve avoiding naming of individuals who are involved in the cases of suicide and depression situations. The approaches of collecting and documenting data should not intrude into the privacy of the victims. The personal details of the victims should not be exposed in the public. Such information should be handled carefully in order to avoid intruding into the privacy of individuals.
The research design involves the research techniques and methods to be used in collecting and analyzing data. The data in this case will be collected through interviews and questionnaires as well as observation. The data collected from the respondents should be analyzed through social science analysis softwares in order to perform the t-test and z-tests which are necessary for proving the hypothesis.
