The report is based on the ways wherein I plan to manage my personal resources. The paper is structured into different parts each dealing with a separate consideration. Initially, there is a detailed summary of results of the self-assessment test recently undertaken by me, which is followed by the description of future aims and objectives i.e. where I expect to see myself in ten years from now. In the next section to that, I have provided the details with regard to my plan of building my personal network that will be a source of support and information for me. Then, I have described at length two of my favorite professional positions that I aim to occupy in future. Next section belongs to my resume that bears details regarding my educational career, professional experience, and core skills along with basic personal information duly provided. Finally, there is a cover letter that unfolds the reasons for my being ideal for the positions described in an earlier section.
Summary of Test Results
Recently, I have taken a career assessment test using an online analytical tool namely eLearningPlanner (eLearning Planner, 2016). The test consisted of eight categories of questions relating to career different types of personality traits on the basis of which, the tool is supposed to automatically suggest me suitable career opportunities for future.
According to the result summary sent via Email, it is found that I am good at leadership and management. The report says that I personally enjoy organizing and managing people. And, I use motivation as a tool to achieve this purpose. This assessment ensures my suitability to the modern concept of organizational dynamics where motivation is considered immensely important for effective people management and to boost employee productivity (Casademunt 30).
It is also mentioned in the summary of results that the secret of my highest achievements lies in creating enthusiasm and excitement in others. It implies that instead of focusing on command and control, I should strive to find out ways to motivate my followers in order to make them achieve the desired objectives. Then, in the last section of the report, it is suggested that taking charge and directing others align with my personality traits. And, my success in career will largely depend on these factors. In addition to this, it is also clearly mentioned in the report that the tool that I can effectively use to lead others is inspiration and motivation. In a nutshell, I am befitting to leadership role and believe in energetic and active ways of utilizing people working under my instructions (or supervision). Through motivational activities, I can nurture a passion among them that can serve as big booster to their productivity.
Currently, I am pursuing graduation in International Business, and I also have some experience of running and managing a business though at a small level (as mentioned in my resume provided in a later section). Furthermore, my personality traits make my candidature suitable for management and leadership. Based on these facts, I wish to get a managerial or administrative role in a large and well reputed multinational. However, I will have to struggle to achieve these ambitions while viewed from the present standpoint.
If the things go according to the plan developed by me, I see myself on key leadership or administrative position in a large multinational. For this purpose, I will have to further polish my key strengths and overcome certain weaknesses that matter in this regard. Without the shadow of any doubt, I am blessed with some inborn passion and personality traits that add to the chances of my success with regard to this specific ambition. Still, I have a long way to go. And for this purpose, I will have to work hard, wait patiently, and be perseverant.
I see that I am good at working hard and my educational career and past life is evident example of it, but sometimes, I lose my patience that I also admitted in my self-assessment test (described earlier). Sometimes, I feel that I lack consistency and this tendency comes from my impatient behavior in some cases. Even in past, I have been switching between ambitions and I rate it as one of my major weaknesses. As a matter of fact, patience and consistency go hand in hand (Leavitt 5), so I will have to practice perseverance and should understand that it is not an overnight process to become a leader or manager. I will follow an organized career path and will reach the position of business manager or administrative professional within next 10 years.
Plans for the Development of Personal and Informational Networks
Personal networking refers to a practice directed towards the development and management of networks consisting of people formed for mutual interest of all participants. It is important to create networks, because they are quick source of information, knowledge, support, and assistance in any given time (Vickey 69; Fayolle 223). Over the next couple of years, I aim to be become a part of community of individuals having the objectives that are similar to mine. It will allow me to stay updated on the key requirements, emerging opportunities, new trends, and key success factors at any given time. These networks serve as first hand source of information.
My strategy to develop my personal network revolves around social media platforms. I am a smart phone user, and also spend good amount of my spare time using internet. To me, some of the most overcrowded social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest are some of the best sources to be utilized to achieve this purpose. On these social media websites, I will sign up and join relevant groups of people. Specifically, I target the group of students studying business management, as it will allow me to exchange some of the best strategies for personal and professional development with them.
As for mobile, I also aim to use Plaxo (a social networking mobile phone application) as a tool for personal networking. However, it is much harder to manage networks than to create them. Therefore, I also have proper management plan for my informational networks. I will participate in key group discussions on regular intervals and will activate notifications for critically important updates. Furthermore, I will also try to contribute at maximum instead of using these networks just as a source of obtaining information. It will also allow me to come into contact with diverse groups of individuals that can go a long way towards developing the sense of diversity management within me. Knowing about different cultures is essential to my passion for playing role of a leader or an administrative professional in a multinational.
Description of my Dream Career Positions
As also discussed earlier, business management, and administration are two of the most attractive departments for me. And, I ultimately aim to become either a business manager (for supervisory role) or administrative specialist.
As for business management, it involves vast range of responsibilities. Business managers hold almost central importance for any business with their role extending into many dimensions such as supervisions, creating business plans, organizing, directing, coordination, etc. Their role may also vary with respect to organizational structure. For example, in some organizations, they have to lead the workforce in a certain division or subsidiary of that organization. And, in some others, they can be in-charge of a department with a target of departmental objectives to be achieved in a given amount of time.
On the other hand, the role of an administrative professional is also of diverse nature. Normally, they are either responsible for marketing promotions, or newsletters, or administration of in-house material. Administrative specialists have to be sum of some particular skills to stand eligible for this position. Some of such key expertise include self-orientation, communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, etc. Based on my educational objectives, past experience, and personality traits, I have an instinctive desire to reach either of aforesaid positions through an organized career development path. If I am assumed to be asked to choose one of these two options i.e. business management and administrative specialist, I will show my preference for ‘management’. Basic reason behind this choice is that it is in comparatively closer proximity with my major. Furthermore, it allows for better utilization of my leadership skills.
My objective is to work with an established organization and serve it in the most effective way by utilizing my core leadership skills that I developed through personal development as well as from education. I have a zealous approach to working hard, indefeasible patience, and well-directed approach to my ultimate goals on the basis of which I envision the fulfillment of my long term future objectives.

Communication skills complemented with my deliverability can create high level of connectedness between me and my followers (in the workforce).

It means that I believe in giving freedom of opinion to workers in order to nurture creativity among them, which can be a big source of innovation. I can also adopt experimental approach to assigned tasks whenever or wherever necessary that, in certain situations, can show optimized ways of doing things.
On the whole, I can be deemed as an excellent package for any organization looking for a dynamic individual to occupy any vacant managerial position. I am also aware of my shortcomings and keep striving to improve my weak areas. Every person on earth has one or more weaknesses, so have I. But, one of my major strengths is that I never let my weaknesses affect my professionalism.
