Jobs and businesses are some of the most important things from the standpoint of an individual as it is all about to analyze the importance of a single aspect. Inevitably there are certain skills are required to do the job in particular, and things should be completed and molded in a special way from which different provisions could have been taken into consideration. There are certain jobs that require special consideration of people in particular as so different skills, as well. The job of an accountant is not an easy job as it is required to focus on the accounts of the company in particular. All the funds of information and accounting software based provisions are in the hands of the accountants and they have all the rights to use them at any place from where the organization can get a certain added advantage.
Accountants are extremely important for every big and small organization because they are very much familiar from the fact that proper citation and recording of the accounting data is essential for an organization and its productivity in particular. The main perspective of this part is to analyze that how well I described myself to become a strategic fit for the company which is in need of an accountant (Boud and Cressey et al., 2006, pp. 56-61). It is required to analyze that have I positioned myself in a perfect place from where I would be an accountant.
First of all, it is necessary to understand that why an organization hires you if they have a number of options for the same. Yes! It is obvious, experience and having suitable and relevant qualification. Apart from that there is yet another lies in this particular aspect which is that how positively and comprehensively you have defined yourself in terms of compatibility for this position. Listing down the experience and education simultaneously and is not the only thing that could be done by a candidate to show their interest in a specific organization, as an organization needs a step ahead from this particular information.
I have positioned myself perfectly in the reflection assignment as I have mentioned every bit of experience and education which I have in the document along with mentioning down the fact that how I could be a skillful accountant in particular (Rosner and Boehm et al., 1999, pp. 12-25). I have shown in the document that I possess enough experience, information and knowledge related to the job of an accountant and I have done the job in similar capacity even in the Bank of England (BOE), as well. I have also shown my deeper interest in Banking terms and technology as interest ratio, a financial system and monetary policy.
It is important for an incumbent to realize the organization about how efficient he/she is in computing and how much inclination they have towards the information technology (IT). I have shown in my report that I have a great passion towards computing and have proficient command over the spreadsheets that certainly makes the organizations aware regarding my capability of doing this job. Organizations always need people who will manage their operations after a specific span of time, and I have mentioned myself as a leader in the future which has the guts and ability to manage the operations of the organization in a perfect and well organized manner. In my view, I have positioned and defined myself in a perfect manner for the organization, in which I had applied. The second reflection is all about having the information about the company.
Apart from sharing the experience and qualifications with the organizations there are certain things that still required by a company that is how you decided to apply in the company? Organizations want to cripple from yourself that what you know about the company and how you will complete the jobs over here accordingly. A person who has a fair idea about the organization in which they are about to apply would be more productive and preferable as compared to a person who has a blank face while asking them regarding the organization.
When I applied in the Shell, I had been given a sort of document in which I have been asked several questions regarding the organization and some other question and I was supposed to answer each and every question with ethics and integrity (Rimanoczy and Turner, 2008, pp. 31-34). The first question from which I had encountered with is what induced you to apply for a job in Shell? My core answer was on the productivity of Shell along with having professional people in it; however, the answer was not enough to satisfy the other party that I have ample knowledge regarding the organization.
The second question was extremely difficult for me, as it requires me to furnish my strategies to work under pressure. Fortunately, I have tackled that question perfectly and with full epic idea. I wrote that every successful businessman works under pressure. The answer reflects my positive attitude and confidence towards my achievement that is again a positive sign for the interviewer.
When an interviewer has number of resumes in front of them, and they already interviewed a number of people before you then the main question arise, that why should I hire you? I have defended this question perfectly and answered that I am not only hard working, but I have the CAN DO approach all along with me, through which I won’t say NO to any job or assignment. Apart from this, my leadership capabilities and loyalty are much higher than that of the others that are again a positive point for you to prefer me as a candidate as compared to others.
The last question from which I had encountered with relates to my core strengths and weaknesses, how I can tackle on my weaknesses and how will use my strength to become economically active and prosperous. I had revealed that having leadership qualities along with loyalty and strong responsibility stance are some of my major strengths which certainly assist me to perform my job perfectly in a given organization. However, the biggest weakness I had mentioned about being high temperament but I didn’t mention that how should I overcome with it, which is not a good sign. The third reflection is all about analyzing the reason behind hiring me on other candidates.
Every person has a dream of a good job in which they can give their hundred percent effort and will define the things effective and accordingly. If the job would be related to the education, personality and experience of a person then it would be more than perfect for them. I have an inclination to have a job in the field of accounts because I have personal experience in this field along with having relevant qualification that is a positive sign for me.
I want a placement in which I can contribute my knowledge, experience as well as qualification and from which I can have a prosperous and effective future (Feldmann and Rupert, 2012, pp. 11-16). From the above mentioned two exercises, it is clear that I have strong inclination and experience as far as having a place in the field of accounts is concerned. Therefore, I would like to join Shell in particular because it is one of the largest organizations in the industry of Oil and Gas, and I would like to manage the accounts of such a big company on the earth, which not only affects positively on my pocket, but also affect on my experience, as well. I would certainly learn numerous things from the professionals of Shell, which will certainly bring positivity in my career’s betterment.
I have placed every question with effectiveness and answer everything with full of my knowledge and expertise, and I am persuaded that Shell’s management would certainly look forward to it. Looking for a placement in the department for which you have experience, interest and qualification would always be difficult, and it requires patience, commitments and experience, as well. I want a placement in the accounts department of a company wherein I can contribute my skills and effective experience to its best. Shell is the best company in which I should seek a placement because it not only guarantees a career, but also leads to a superior class of effectiveness. I am certain that my leadership capabilities, knowledge, information and relevant qualification would certainly assist me to grow in this big organization effectively and would certainly help me out to further enhance my career perfectly.
My experience, qualification and interest totally depict my decision to join this company and seek a placement here in the accounts and finance department because I have seen that the company is in the process of hunting for some qualified professionals and who have a strong command over the accounting and finance activities, and I will certainly find employment in the company. Apart from that, I have described some positive things regarding the company that will certainly divert the attention of the interviewers and management of Shell towards my achievement and towards my hard work for their company and in this connection I would certainly get a placement in the company that would be effective for the betterment of my career in the future, as well. Let’s now move towards the fourth reflection of the assignment. The forth reflection is all about analyzing the job role and description.
There are certain roles in which a person would feel them qualify accordingly. In the fourth exercise, I have defined a role play of a Non Executive Director, while the second part of this exercise defines about the Role Play Scenario. The entire analysis has been seen across these things, and I am certain that both of these scenarios and role plays would be effective for me in the future.
The first role play which has been defined in this particular analysis is all about a Non Executive Director of the company. I have defined about the non executive director of a company and what are their roles and job description. I have mentioned the job of a non executive director as a person who plays various facilities in a given organization related to the achievement of the company in terms of its financial and non-financial goals. I have mentioned many things about the Non Executive Directors and especially of their affairs for the sake of the company. I am certain that Non Executive Directors always remains busy in making and implementing the strategies and policies for a company in particular and how to manage different organizations and departments accordingly and effectively for the sake of the company (Schaltegger and Bennett et al., 2006, pp. 17-22). The non executive director publishes the reports and presents a report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company in particular. I have placed the information on the Non executive director in a perfect and well organized manner, and I am certain that this particular thing could be effective for the company in particular. The Non Executive Directors should play their role for the sake of the company, and it could be done in the manner if all the things would be done with ethics and other important considerations.
The second role play scenario pertains to finance manager, who is mainly concerned over the financial position of the company. I have pointed the main theme of the work of the finance manager including having an eye over the financial ratios of the company along with analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of implementing different suggestions. It is also important to reduce the manufacturing cost of the company accordingly and effectively for the sake of organizational development and financial manager should play their role in this particular provision. I have done a good job as far as defining the role play scenario of the individuals is concerned, and I am certain that this information would be worthwhile for the reader.
