Cleveland Clinic1. Discuss how much you think the CC should adapt their marketing strategies and programs to UAE conditions.
CC requires investing more on marketing strategies as well as familiarising itself with UAE programs. First, it requires understanding the customers of UAE and more particularly the cultural behaviour of the customers. Understanding the cultural behaviour of the UAE customers forms the basis of its expansion. Different cultures have different have different preferences and therefore any company that wishes to enter a new market; cultural environment is a very important aspect to consider (Gillespie etal 264).
Nevertheless, CC requires focusing more about the legal environment of the UAE as it focuses on adapting its marketing strategies and programs in UAE. The legal environment will help CC to know the dos and don’ts for its business in the region. It will enable CC to understand what is required in order to run its business in UAE.
Finally, CC requires carrying out a survey of where exactly it should place its business operations. This involves the application of marketing strategies such as segmentation. The application of its marketing strategies and programs will be subject to the way it segments its market. Ideally, it needs to invest deeply on various forms of segmentation.
2. What are the major considerations for the CC? There are various major considerations that CC need to foster. These include; industry, market, legal framework, and social responsibility. The first concern for CC is the industry development in the UAE. There is a great need to understand the degree of competition in the industry in order to come up with various competitive strategies. Secondly, it is concerned with understanding the market for its services. The clinic needs to make concerns on where it is going to get ready market for its medical services. In addition, the clinic is also concerned with the business regulations of the region that it is supposed to adhere to. The question with respect to legal framework is; will the clinic get the licence to operate its services in UAE? Finally, the clinic is concerned with what it needs do to the community surrounding UAE in order to develop and keep a lasting relationship in the course of its operations (Kotler 312).
