When preparing for an interview a lot of factors have to be kept in mind. A good and professional guide is always helpful in preparation of this nature. InterviewStream is a professional interface that allows students to get ready for their first interaction with the corporate world.Q1. InterviewStream is a highly interactive interface that can be used by students to learn about careers and how interviews are conducted or can be cracked. I found the website very easy to use, the fonts were readable and the different sections were well categorized. The tips and tutorials that are given on the website are very practical and useful for students. The mobile application allows students to make use of this website on the go which I found very useful. The section of practice interviews allowed me to experience how a professional interview for a job would be and the scenario was very accurately recreated which I think is important if one wants to learn about how an interview must be conducted.
Q2. I have always found some questions in an interview very difficult to answer like “Tell me about yourself” and “Why should we hire you”. By listening to the tips and the videos that are uploaded on the website I got insight into the purpose behind asking these questions by the company and what kind of an answer they expect from the candidate. It has helped me build my confidence in being able to answer in the interview and the face the interviewer.
Q3. Apart from the webinars and tips about attending interviews and facing questions, if a few mock interview videos could have been uploaded on the website then it would have been very helpful. A third person perspective is very helpful in understanding the dos and don’ts of a situation, especially when one is not involved. This is also good for observing what the correct body language should be and mannerism that one should maintain during an interview and what expressions one should have.
