Decentralization of the governing system that is involved in administering the country involves the need to provide democratic rights that the people could use to identify their being and their existence accordingly. Notably, China is one among the many countries that are specifically aiming to give attention to the most common benefits of decentralizing the administration system among their smaller states. This allows the country and its people to become more involved in the concept of determining the way they emerge along with their people into becoming more global and more effective in accepting their role in relation to the concept embracing global competitiveness. China has indeed benefited from the process of change; however, there are also some disadvantages to the matter.
While this approach has increased the economic competence of the nation, the power of the local government has decreased as well as the power of the media increases. The national government mandates the media to provide accurate, fun, entertaining stories that sell (Baum, 2008, 2). The local governments however are given less power to control what the media has to say especially when it comes to particular issues that might largely affect the thinking and perception of the public.
Notably, such boldness of the media result to chaotic reactions from the people that the government is required to strategically resolve. Somehow, with the freedom of the people comes the distinct array of redefining the concept of power that the government is able to embrace. Somehow, the onset of democracy among the people has created particular complexities of administration that the government has to deal with especially as they try to enter a new world for China and its people.
