“To put something loved into one’s heart” is a precious thing which I would like to do in life. Some people frequently asked me a question. Thay ask, “What do you want to be in the future?” Since I was a kid, this question had been a mystery in my mind. Even when I graduated with a four-year-degree from a University. However, then an opportunity presented itself in my life. I got accepted by the best property company in my country for a job in Customer Relations. Since then, everything has changed. My thoughts had changed. This new experience was the reason of my self discovery and view into broader perspectives.
On day one, I felt quite nervous while entering the huge building. This organization consists of a huge number fo employees with were also entering the building at the same time. Each floor of the building is a single department of the organization. Everything is very well organized and systematic. My co-workers welcomed with warm greetings when they first met me.
I have learnt a lot of different processes in this organization as a trainee. The role of customer relations is supposed to know everything including marketing, selling, coordinating, serving, and even house building basics are learned due to providing information to the customers efficiently.This job deals in the property business, in which I had no experience. It was an excellent opportunity for starting my career. Every day on my working day, I listened to customers with their problems and assisted them by coordinating with other departments. Outing was the activity that I loved to learn about. I had to visit many site projects like single house, townhouse and condominiums. I got to see the function of management and property seller that how they created the concept of business and how they persuaded the customer. I realized that having a home is one of the four requisites for humans. Everyone desires the best in their daily life. In this business,it is easy to satisfy each customer.
Once I got a chance to attend a great seminar of the business. Even though I was a new employee, the seminar was an excellent experience. I first met with the president of the company “Mr.Settha Taweesin,” who is a well-known personality in the property operation society. He showed us all the volume of success in sales of the previous year in order to encourage all employees. His goal was to increase circulation in the next year. I eagerly concentrated while he was talking about business. His powerful speech carried the audience with him. He made me interested in business. He made me realize that only not property, but every business has challenges. I kept telling myself that, ‘I want to be a smart businesswoman. As powerful and as determined as him.’ Whenever I feel down, unsure or unconfident about something, I always remember the speech delivered by the president of my company. At one point, he had said, “Let’s do it. We can do it, don’t be scared.”
Throughout out almost two years of work experience, I have acknowledged and learned a lot in business. Although I did not work in business management directly; but my responsibilities have led me to a new vision and showed me my goal for the future. I realized that I needed to expand my business education. I expect that a scholarship with majoring MBA will help me develop my business skills. That is the best way to get the best career and open opportunities in my life.
However, all this is not as important as choosing what you love. If I am given the chance; I could proudly say that, “Yes, I know what I loved, and I know what I want to be. I want to become a successful business woman.”
