The Thomson Reuters released the list of 100 top hospitals in 2013 and each hospital candidate was evaluated according to 10 important areas of their health care systems. This includes the area involving patient safety, profitability, mortality, clinical standards, medical complications, readmission rates, expenses, patient satisfaction on their medical services, and post discharge mortality as among many others (Thomson Reuters, 2013). The Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, Texas is one of the prestigious hospitals that were included in the list of the top 100 hospitals named by the Thomson Reuters.
