Huffman trucking company needs to implement the computerized fleet management system in the soonest possible time period. This will involve several teams headed by the project manager. The baseline plan outlines the major goals in form of tasks the project is out to accomplish. It then stipulates the duration each task is going to take to achieve. The plan also includes the average cost of each task in dollars. Finally it gives a general guideline of the crucial members of each team handling a specific task. However it is imperative to note that all the figures given are generally reasonable estimates of the duration and the cost of the project.
The progress of each task is to be done on a weekly basis and all the variances of the project are to be measured out against this baseline plan. If there is to be found any issues in the completion of the tasks the team leaders will coordinate with the project leader and the project coordinator. Below is the baseline plan which starts on Monday the 16th of may 2011 and ends on 10th October of 2011 a total of 106 days when the project is estimated to be filly complete and finally Huffman trucking company will have successfully have the new fleet truck management system fully functioning.
