Discussion of Results and Conclusions This dissertation began with a quote from Raphael and Espiau (2010, par. 9) describing the positive outcomes that are the goals of TOD. Those goals include offering a high quality of life, healthy neighborhoods, and increased public transit infrastructure. The goals are expected to create equitable communities because jobs and equal access to facilities and services exist.
