Given the recognition and on-going research into the disease of diabetes, there has probably been thousands and perhaps millions of books and articles written on the subject. The most commonly recognized types are type 1 and types 2 diabetes, but others include gestational, monogeneic, and cystic-fibrosis related diabetes (NIDDK, 2017).
