The fundamental difference between humans and angels, as Shedd states, is that “God created man male and female.” This implies that man is “incomplete if in isolation from one another.” However, angels are “sexless” which means that although they have been created with “reasonable and immortal souls” like man, they are not man or woman and are therefore, infinitely more complete than man. 1.
