The book “The French and their Revolution by Richard Cobb” describes the French Revolution that took place in the last decade of the 18th century, between 1789 and 1799. This period was marred with political and social turmoil in European history. The revolt resulted in the crumple of the ‘absolute’ kingdom that had governed France for several decades.
