According to Schram & Tibbetts (2014), there are 4 general goals of the strategy of achieving homeland security. These are:
Prevent and disrupt terrorist attacks
Protect the American people, critical infrastructure, and key resources Respond to and recover from incidents that do occur Continue to strengthen the foundation to ensure long term success.
