Introduction
The coastline that stretches from Hastings to Cliff End is dominated by cliffs exposing a significant proportion of the Ashdown Formation. Notably, the cliffs stretching from East Hill in Hasting to Pett Beach that are approximately 7.5 km to the East north-east have been distinguished as Site of Special Scientific Importance (SSSI) due to its geological interest.
