The Gulf of Mexico experienced a huge explosion on April 20, 2010, that caused the sinking of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig killing eleven people in Transocean, an offshore oil-drilling company owned Deepwater Horizon Oil rig leased by BP (The Ocean Portal Team, 2015).
