Introduction
Industrialization refers to the sustained structural transformation of a traditional agrarian society to a modern economy driven by high productivity in manufacturing society (Szirmai, Naudé and Alcorta, 2013). Industrialization started in the mid-eighteenth century in Britain and then spread to other European countries and the USA in the nineteenth century. In the twentieth century, Japan, Singapore, Korea, China, and other East Asian Tigers became industrialized (Szirmai, Naudé and Alcorta, 2013).
