Post#3: The high added sugar content in snacks, beverages and baby food is a critical health issue, worldwide. The three articles I retrieved from different sources showed the similar information on packaged food that is highlighted in my first post. One article by Chai et al. of Global News cited the quote of Dr. Hammond, “Canadian kids consume 33 tablespoons of sugar” (Chai et al.). According to this, the major concern related to this sugar consumption is the extra supply of sugar to the body that may lead to obesity and other health problems.
