Head and neck cancer (HNC) is the term used to describe a wide range of malignant tumors originating in the upper aero digestive tract (9). HNC imposes acute suffering on the patients while swallowing, breathing or speaking. Tobacco and alcohol are the primary causes in majority cases of HNC (18).
