Background

The main objective of the torsion experiment carried out was to determine the relationship between the applied torque and angle of twist for a metal wire of various properties, and compare and contrast. Based on the measured torsional properties of the sample wires one can be able to determine the modulus of rigidity or shear stiffness and material. In turn this properties can be used to accurately identify the material. Below is a set up of the laboratory experiment carried out.

Our goal is to design a system that would be used to measure the temperature by changing resistances. The system would work in a solid medium but we would also try to make it functional in liquid mediums such as oil, fuels and such other liquids. This instrument should be able to measure the temperature of the liquids from -259.15 °C to 400 °C and we should have a resolution of ±0.018 V.

This experiment sort to find an accurate and most viable method that would be used in laboratories to the measurement of iron concentration in aqueous samples. Resting and exercise blood lactate concentrations were measured in order to Test Retest the reliability of two measuring devices, the ABL and the Acusport. The purpose of the test was to prove the reliability of the results. The t-test and the Pearson’s product Correlation Coefficient were used in order to evaluate the experimental results. The t-test and the Peason’s product Correlation Coefficient calculations proved that the experimental test results from the trials of the ABL and Acusport measuring devices are reliable.
