Same Sex Marriage
In 2015, the United States Constitution ruled that nationwide, states could not ban same-sex marriage (Same-Sex). This highly contested ruling thereby states that all states must issue marriage licenses to all couples, opposite or same sex. While many people see this is a negative, a vast majority of people see this ruling as what it is: a set in stone (for the time being) rule that all people, regardless of sexual orientation, are equal and do not deserve discrimination in the form of being denied rights and being denied the benefits that a marriage can bring.
