Executive Summary
The purpose of the paper was to assess Canadian market for the ability of CBT, the UK-based supermarket chain, to enter it. Environmental analysis was made taking into account political situation in the country, economic overview, legal aspect and socio-cultural perspective. It was found that CBT is going to have more opportunities than threats. Competitive analysis showed that supermarket industry in Canada is monopolistically competitive. The characteristics of such market were properly described.
