For centuries humanity has tasked itself with familiar methods to generate power. Progress in technology brought about more expedient energy generating procedures over the years. However, the purpose of outsourcing competitive energy resources to investors has defeated the purpose of developing energy efficient for the benefit of humanity. When financial factors envelope the need for clean and safe energy sources, the question becomes if an alternative and renewable energy source really exists. Awareness to climate changes has prompted industries to refer to renewable energy sources to reduce carbon emissions. This awareness has drawn the attention of ...
Abstract
Recently, attention has been diverted to clean, alternative and renewable technologies due to the depletion of petroleum resources and increase of the green house gases from the combustion of fuel resources. Fuel cell is the fore-runner of these technologies and has received immense impetus due to its relatively clean source of energy. Fuel-cells are devices that produce electrical energy from chemical transformation reactions. Electrodes are placed within an electrolyte medium that facilitates oxidation of fuel. In these electrochemical reactions, ions are generated that generate electricity. This electrical energy can be effectively harnessed to carry out a myriad of functions. Since ...
The development of solar energy is based on a use of solar radiation for generation energy. Solar energy is the kinetic energy of the radiation (mainly light) formed by reactions in the solar interior. As its stocks are almost inexhaustible (astronomers counted that the Sun will “burn” some more millions of years), solar energy belongs to a renewable source of energy. In natural ecosystems, only a small part of the solar energy is absorbed by chlorophyll that contains in the leaves of plants and is used for photosynthesis, namely for the formation of organic matter from carbon dioxide and ...
Nuclear power also known as nuclear energy is created by nuclear fusion for purposes generating electricity and heat. Uranium is used as fuel by the nuclear power plant. This is because uranium is a highly effective energy source compared to gas or coal. Nuclear fusions, this is when the uranium is combined with the free neutrons releasing heat and breaking down into light elements. The uranium is intensely radioactive thus considered highly dangerous but when put in the nuclear power systems the radioactive is reduced thus becoming less dangerous. The nucleus power plant began in the early 20th century because ...
Introduction
The executive power was at first devised as a mere organ of implementation of laws. During the first years of the republic, the presidency was regarded as a nearly powerless body, given that the Constitution provides much more prevalence to the Congress. This was done on purpose because the founding fathers wanted to avoid the problems caused by kings and despots in countries that did not restrain the power of their rulers. Nonetheless, the executive office has gradually increased its power, especially during the last century. Right now, the executive is the dominant force in foreign policy making but, through history, ...

At the end of the 1970s, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) emerged from the Mao Zedong era and started the process of opening up to the foreign world. As it initiated its reforms in 1978, it has also ventured into the international realms (Bijian, 2005). It pursued a winning policy for economic development, surged its military and political power, and made their nation a formidable player in the international arena. This phenomenon spans almost thirty years. As China’s economic, military and political power has increased over the last three decades, its national leaders also sought to enhance their ...

Unlike Russia’s European neighbors, supporters of President Vladimir Putin hold a different view of him concerning his rule and power. They view him as a necessary fit and strong leader who suits to lead a country that was previously in chaos. The people then decided that Russia needed a strong autocratic leader who would concentrate his efforts on consolidating Russia, protecting, & expansion of its border and finally improving the economy.

Part I: The Checks and Balances, Separation of Powers and Self Government Matrix
Figure 1: Adapted from Patterson (2012, p. 40). The United States is considered one of the biggest contributors to the increasing rate of carbon emissions throughout the globe. While China is admittedly similar to the US’ contribution to carbon emissions, the US had held the position for more than a century as it was one of the nations who supported the Industrial Revolution. Since carbon emissions are considered one of the primary causes of global warming, the US, alongside other world governments and organizations, had come up with various solutions to reduce emissions and resuscitate the once sustainable environment. With emissions come mostly from the use of non-renewable ...

Planning energy supply system of a city is an important element of a municipal architecture (Lowman, 2009). Some prominent municipal planners described all electricity network of a city as its “blood system”, along with potable water and safe roads. Improper construction practices may result in dramatic consequences for the city, especially under emergency circumstances (e.g. natural calamities, terrorist threats, etc.). Hurricane Katarina evinced complete incompetence of the Californian city planners to consider these issues (Kopytko & Perkins, 2011) (large parts of the affected cities were almost immediately cut off power what made effective evacuation, medical assistance and other operations less effective).

It is widely accepted in management circles especially in transnational organizations that countries have distinct and sometimes unique cultural traits. These cultural traits are extremely influential and to a large extent determine whether multinational corporations succeed or fail in the various countries of operation. This is the case because of the continued globalization and merger of world economies that has consequently resulted to the melt-down of not only international but also local geographic boundaries. To this effect, culture based studies are becoming a pre-requisite for doing business in the various parts of the world as the years pass by. At the ...

The result is that global warming is happening as a result of natural but predominantly human activities that release carbon emissions into the atmosphere. Measuring the best forms of energy to counteract this depends on a number of technological, economic and societal variables. It also requires the efforts of government to use command and control along with economic incentives to the highest potential for each ...
Japan and Germany
Japan and Germany
Before World War 2, Japan and Germany had certain similarities in their foreign relations and domestic policies, which will be discussed in this paper. However, due to their distance between each other and their similar foreign policies, they were allies in the Second World War. This is because they found themselves fighting ...

Bad Management As a Result Of Poor Leadership Skills
Introduction
Management is at least as much of an art as it is of a science. For that reason one should not be surprised when people without formal business education develop themselves into great manager, while straight-A business schools alumni fail to achieve any decent results in non-artificial environment. Efficient communication, control over emotions, quick and rational decision-making, expertise in particular fields are, among other things, the important qualities a successful manager should possess – none of them appears to be fully acquirable through institutionalized education.
Development as a manager is a constant, lifetime learning process – improvement may come ...

Civilization in Cold War
The end of the Second World War left the world with two superpowers – the United States (US) and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) – that nearly controlled every aspect of politics, economics and social life worldwide. The fight for scientific, political, economic, and military control as a way of civilization led the Americans to support one group or country over the others. The war involved the two superpowers in hideously supporting, financing and implementing their ideologies ...

A hybrid car is a car used to drive the drive wheels more than one source of energy.
Modern car manufacturers often resort to sharing of the internal combustion engine and an electric motor, which avoids the mode of the internal combustion engine in low loads, and also to realize the recovery of kinetic energy, increasing the fuel efficiency of the power plant. Another common type of hybrids is vehicles, in which ICE is combined with engines running on compressed air.
It should be distinguished from hybrids vehicles with electro-mechanical transmission, such as locomotives, some tractors and tanks.

But as the conflict wore on, the Americans and British showed a remarkable ability to adapt not only their design and manufacture of aircraft and armaments to meet the challenge of the enemy, but also their combat tactics. The speed and maneuverability of modern aircraft required pilots ...
