Cancers of the reproductive system are life threatening and induce much suffering in patients. Women who receive screening services can reduce their chances of developing these cancers. Women who undergo screening can also benefit from early diagnosis and treatment that result in a better prognosis. However, not all cancer prevention programs targeting women are successful of which the Every Woman Matters Program is an example.
