Nurses face unique stresses and circumstances at the workplaces which lead to high nurses’ turnover. As at 2008, the nursing turnover stood at 55% to 60%, a feature attributed to poor nursing leadership that did not offer support to the nurses, outrageous working demands and poor relations amongst the nurses. To cater for these deficiencies, human capital strategies and leadership training need to be promoted so as to create a positive working environment that reflects the demands of the nursing practicum. The literature points to key elements needed in a team, namely a facilitator, members to function as project champions, goals and objectives, an EBP focus, and established meeting times (Houser & Oman, 2011). I functioned as leader or facilitator while senior nurses and the nurse educator functioned as project champions. The diversity of opinions, consensus-building process, and shared accountability also ensures that informed decisions are made throughout the different phases of the project (Roussel, 2011). Recent studies have established that people do not mind their eating habits. They do not know the dangers either associated with poor eating habits, or are just ignorant to the fact that healthy eating is paramount to healthy societies. However, poor eating habits should not be confused for malnutrition (Krahn and Lengyel, et al. 2011). The major problem associated with poor eating habits is obesity, which exposes people to diseases such as hypertension, coronary artery diseases and diabetes. These are very threatening diseases that have very simple origin-poor eating habits-but also have simple solutions - proper dietary measures.

The growing plethora on the debate regarding the act of compensating collegiate student athletes has interest not only sports aficionados, the academe but the society in general. Many people question the practice as somewhat inappropriate and a precursor to encouraging the youth to lose focus on their academics and their primary purpose for education. Many believe that students are being lured to participate in sports because of the financial reward that they can get from becoming a student athlete. Thus, students’ priorities are divided because of this practice. In addition, many assumes that when a student deemed that the rewards of athletic ...

Group dynamics is arguably one among the toughest topics because according to psychologists, groups cannot be studied through a unilateral approach. Human beings are quite different in terms of reasoning and opinion. This way, they tend to perceive things differently. This is the explanation behind the fact that mob psychology and group decision making are tougher and time consuming as compared to individual psychology and decision making. In a group – be it at the work place or in the school setting – making decisions is difficult for the simple reason that establishing a consensus in group is a difficult idea (Levi, 2011). There will ...

For instance, conflicts can be classified on the basis of whether or not they are helpful to the parties involved or to the institutions to which such parties are affiliated. Healthcare involves the collaboration of various medical organizations, institutions, and providers, all of whom manage their own data under different storage and retrieval systems, and though practical and efficient within the target system, there is a lack of uniformity in structure across other systems (Masud et al. 2012). Moreover, there are often variations in data compiled from the same resources. This lack of synergy between the various data storage systems, and the types of information stored, preclude the sharing of data among the various healthcare professionals, institutions, and organizations. E-health systems, on the other hand, allow the storage and retrieval ...
